![]() Mainly, I love the idea of having CAD abilities in an already mature rendering, animation and game engine platform that continues to evolve, innovate and remain relevant. I'm going to give Fusion 360 a try, but really I'm keeping my eye on Blender CAD, which I think has potential far exceeding what autodesk has. With that said, I think I've made the decision to migrate away from SU after I'm finished my current prototype design. ![]() I think the fact that they've never tried to solidify a position in the wide-open 3D printing/prototyping space is a testament to that. Overall, I'm just not impressed with Trimble they're trying to make more money with a product they seem to be unwilling to continue to innovate, and the lack of monthly subscriptions and silly subscription levels (on top of already nixing lifetime licenses) tells me that they just don't have the business acumen to keep up with technology or trends. I've found that I've just hit the ceiling with SU 2017, and I've been considering shelling out the cash for pro, but when searching SU 2017 problems/fixes, I'm still seeing unresolved bugs, problems with small geometry, rounding errors and a lack of basic built-in tools (bevels anyone?) in Pro.
